VALENTINA FORMENTI™
Originally from Italy, Valentina Formenti trained at London Contemporary dance school (1991-94, BA Degree in Contemporary Dance and Choreography) and following this joined the 4D Performance Group (1994-95, PG Degree in Performance).
She toured extensively and internationally with many companies including Bock & Vincenzi (performing in invisible dances… and Breathtaking), The Cholmondeleys, Vincent Dance Theatre, Jonathan Lunn, Protein Dance Company, Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, Mark Bruce Dance Company, Bedlam Dance Company, Aletta Collins, Jazz Exchange, Royal Opera House and English National Opera. Alongside performing she was a professional camera operator, undertaking an apprenticeship with film editor Deborah May. Valentina also trained in shadow yoga, was an advanced scuba-diver and a fundraiser for the Orangutan Foundation.
In 2008, Valentina died in her sleep dreaming of crocodiles.
