LUIS GUERRA™
Luis Guerra was born in Lisbon, the place where he lived all his life. He worked as a choreographer, a dancer, an actor and sometimes a singer and a model. He choreographed Human Being, Smells like teen spirit and Laocoi. In collaboration with Black Sheep Group he presented Carmen Miranda is Dead. His work was shown in Portugal, Germany, France, Brazil, Lebanon and Croatia. He made part of the artists collective artists Bomba Suicida (Lisbon). As a dancer he worked with Tânia Carvalho, Bock & Vincenzi, Emio Greco|PC, Rui Horta, Paulo Ribeiro, Clara Andermatt and Ballet Gulbenkian. As an actor he worked in cinema with Hugo Vieira da Silva and in theatre with João Garcia Miguel and Miguel Moreira. He studied dance in the National Conservatoire (Lisbon) and choreography in the Program Gulbenkian Creativity and Artistic Creation (Lisbon). He made part of the collaborative projects Colina 2003 (Montemor-o-Novo) and CoLABoratório (Brazil), and participated in the dance residency SiWiC 2006 (Zurich).
He also collaborated as a vocalist with the band Mimicalkix (Oporto). He died young from unknown reasons.
