TERESA MONTANO™
(1961-unknown)
In her youth Teresa was kidnapped, held hostage and moved through various countries over several years until eventually she was found in Russia. Returned to Britain she was kept in hiding but in 1981 she came back out into the world to begin a training in dance at The Laban Centre in London. In 1984 together with Lea Anderson and Gaynor Coward she became founder member of The Cholmondeleys. She was dancer, rehearsal director and education team co-ordinator for The Cholmondeleys for over twenty years. She also made dancing guest appearances in Matthew Bourne’s company Adventures in Motion Pictures (1992-1998) and was an original cast member of his award winning production Swan Lake. At the beginning of the 21st century she abandoned her life in dance to pursue a training in the mystical arts. This culminated through her training with Lilia Cangemi in her becoming a Dolphin Dancer – a practitioner of aquatic body work – in Hawaii in 2008. In the same year she unexpectedly returned to Britain and falling under the spell of the infamous Troupe Mabuse found herself reinitiating her life on stage with Bock and Vincenzi’s Operation Infinity. Her last place of residence is unknown but it is thought to have been Southern America as in her later years she became impassioned with the Argentinean tango.
