Simon Vincenzi™ [Director and Designer]
Simon Vincenzi was the co founder of Bock & Vincenzi with the performer and choreographer Frank Bock. Their work together included Three Forest Dances In A Room Of Wood (1997), Being Barely There I Saw You Too (1998) and a work for three to six year olds, Breathtaking (2000-2001). As part of their invisible dances… project he directed invisible dances… from afar: A show that will never be shown (2003) - a work that was made to be only experienced via the telephone. Between 2004 – 2006 he directed The Invisible Dances: A theatre work in three acts: Act 1: PRELUDE (2004) in The Royal Opera House, Clore Studio, London. Act 2: L’Altrove (2005) that was commissioned and presented at the Venice Biennale. Act 3: Here As If They Hadn’t Been, As If They Are Not. An Epilogue (2006) was presented at Nottdance, Nottingham; Kunsten Festival Des Arts, Brussels; and Laban Theatre, London. His design work has included productions with Impact Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, ENO, the National Theatre, Lucy Bailey and the Royal Court. He has collaborated on both the design and direction of theatre projects with Rose English, Angela Clerkin, The Cholmondeleys and Duckie.
He is currently working on a new show as part of Operation Infinity: King Real Against The Guidelines.
